The Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) is a regulation, passed by the Environmental Protection Agency as part of the 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments, that requires all community water systems to provide their customers with an annual water quality report.
With the CCR, communities obviously benefit by acquiring a better understanding of their water suppliers and the processes involved, which allows them an opportunity to make an informed decision regarding their use of drinking water. The CCR also provides suppliers with an opportunity to explain how the community’s drinking water supplies are protected and build on their relationship with the customer. For more information on the CCR, you may contact a member of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s Drinking Water Quality Team at (512) 239-4691 for further assistance.

The City does not provide sewer service. All residents are on Conventional and/or Aerobic Systems for sewage. Commercial Businesses are on Aerobic Septic Systems. Contact City Hall for more information.

City of New Fairview ordinance 2010-04-152 adopted the Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 366 and the Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 30, Subchapter A & G and Chapter 285 regarding On-Site Sewage Facility (OSSF). There shall be no homeowner/property owner maintenance of an OSSF using aerobic treatment unless the property owner/homeowner is certified by the manufacturer of that system or is an OSSF licensed maintenance provider who has been certified by the manufacturer for their system. Testing and reporting requirements specified in Title 30, TAC, Section 285.7 shall be in effect.
