City Administrator Update

I apologize for not getting this out to you last week. If there is substantive material that needs to be shared urgently, I will send out an updates as needed, but most often you will be receiving these every couple of weeks.

I have had some time to get settled in and work with Monica and Brooke. We are lucky to have such a great team in place and I look forward to moving forward on several initiatives with them over the next several months.

Fairview Meadows

I spent part of the afternoon last week on a ride along with Don Strange. We drove through the current projects, including Fairview Meadows, and progress has been substantial over the last week. They have completed the road subsurface and are well under way on installation of the asphalt.

I spoke with Don Allen several time last week and they are on track to have water by the middle of this week, July 30th, and electricity to the development by the middle of August. Don and his team will be meeting with me next week to bring me up to speed on the project.

Falcon Ridge

Phase II of Falcon Ridge is moving forward as well. They have completed treating the subsurface, using lime, and have started to install the rebar in preparation for the concrete roads.

New Fairview Road Program

Alan had started an asphalt pot hole repair and patch program. Jaime and Nathan have patched and many pot holes and eroding street edges throughout the City, placing approximately 30 tons of asphalt. Jaime gave me a tour of the best road and the worst roads in the City. We reviewed the work that has been completed and discussed the issues at hand.

I will be adding an item to the next agenda to discuss our current process and we will discuss options on how we are going to move forward.
